In this interactive case study, learners will apply knowledge gained from readings in addition to the course module to determine the most appropriate outcome measures for a patient with MS along the continuum of care, from in-patient rehab to out-patient.
Learning Objective:
1. Evaluate the factors that physical therapists should consider when selecting outcome measures for clinical practice.
2. Use a deductive reasoning approach to select appropriate measures for patients with MS, applying the MS Outcome Measure Recommendations and Evaluation Database to Guide Effectiveness (EDGE) documents.
3. Verify that measures selected have acceptable psychometrics and clinical utility.
4. Modify the selection of measures across the continuum of care for patients with MS.
